Requiem was created in 2003 through the collaborative efforts of a few seasoned djs, promoters and friends all looking to give something back to the local dark music community. In its early years Requiem was hosted at the opulent and appropriately named Kastle nightclub (formerly the Midtown Arts Center) and hosted many bands including Wolfsheim, Faith & The Muse, and others. Quickly noted as a prime gig spot on the tour map, the event grew in to a dedicated engine for underground artist promotion.
Although the days of booking bands at Requiem have mostly ceased due to venue and promotions changes, the event continues on with regular cd release parties and special events. Requiem is hosted @ The Complex!
Located near Downtown St. Louis on Chouteau Ave. between Grand Blvd and South Theresa Ave,
on the North side of the street, the entrance & parking is located on the backside of the building.
